Counting Master counts objects in photos. It is built so that your photos and counts stay on your iPhone.

What stays on your iPhone

Photos

Photos you take or choose are processed on the device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Counts and history

Saved counts, with a copy of the result image, are stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone. You can delete them in Settings → Clear History, or by deleting the app.

Your preferences are stored on the device.

Saved items and what they learn

When you save an item and check its counts, the app keeps those photos and your corrections in its private storage and trains a small model for that item on your iPhone. The photos, corrections and trained models never leave the device. You can delete one item on its page (Delete item), all learning data in Settings → Clear learning data, or everything by deleting the app.

Notifications

If you allow them, the app shows a notification on your iPhone when an item's new result is ready to compare. Notifications are created on the device; nothing is sent to us.

What we receive

Nothing by default

The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Email you choose to send

If you use Send feedback, Request a feature or Contact support, your Mail app sends us the message you write, the app version and your iPhone model, and, only if you leave it switched on, your last result image. We use these only to answer you and improve the app, and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not see your payment details. Apple tells the app whether your subscription is active.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera access to take the photo you want to count. It asks to add to your photo library only when you choose Save Image on a result.

Children

Counting Master is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

This website

countingmaster.app is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to serve the font file, as any web request does.
